About

About Us

The Camp Forrest Foundation was founded to honor soldiers, civilians and communities by preserving and presenting the history and heritage of the men and women of Camp Forrest; a major WWII military installation and other eras of military history of the United States.

The Camp Forrest Foundation supports museums and organizations dedicated to preserving military history and events. We do this through research, artifact procurement, presentation of exhibits and education.

Meet Our Founder

Dr. Elizabeth Taylor

In 2013, Dr. Elizabeth Taylor began her passion for researching Camp Forrest (a major WWII military installation) located in Tullahoma, Tennessee. The research and education gained has spanned nearly a decade.

In 2016, Dr. Taylor began her Camp Forrest book series publishing her first book “Images of America Camp Forrest” followed by “Voices of Camp Forrest In World War II” in 2019. The extensive knowledge that Dr. Taylor has gained on Camp Forrest has established her as the expert when it pertains to this subject matter.

In July 2021, Dr. Taylor along with colleagues established the Camp Forrest Foundation, Inc. a non-profit organization whose primary function is to research Camp Forrest; other US Wartimes and related topics for the creation of educational components for the general public.

The Camp Forrest Foundation office is located and resides within the historic “Baillet House” in Tullahoma, Tennessee, home to the William Northern Museum of Art and History (formerly the Tullahoma Fine Arts Center, Inc.) The location will offer a permanent educational Camp Forrest and William Northern Airfield exhibit along with rotating military art and history exhibits in other galleries.

The Camp Forrest Foundation along with the William Northern Museum will offer seminars/lectures, gifts, and a full archival research facility.
