Camp Forrest Foundation

About

Founded in 2021 under the leadership of Dr. Elizabeth Taylor, the Camp Forrest Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to preserving the memory and material history of:

  • Camp Forrest,
  • William Northern Army Airfield,
  • The Tennessee Maneuvers,
  • World War II home front, and
  • The individual civilians, service members, civilian internees, and prisoners of war during this historical period

Our mission is to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the sacrifices and contributions everyone made during World War II.  Through exhibits, professional presentations, and a variety of public programs, our dedicated volunteers bring this pivotal era of history to life for audiences of all ages.

Virtual Museum – Launched in 2024

In 2024, we proudly launched our Virtual Museum, allowing guests to explore our growing collection of artifacts at their own convenience. This digital platform makes it possible for visitors from across the United States, Europe, and the Pacific to engage with our work and discover the stories behind each artifact.

We invite you to visit the virtual museum often; new artifacts are added in the spring and fall.

Visit Our Partners

Several of our historical partners feature Camp Forrest-related exhibits open to the public. We encourage you to explore these displays whenever you’re in the area—they offer unique perspectives and rare artifacts tied to the Camp Forrest story.
